Soy de Estados Unidos y soy nuevo a la Domincana. (Thank you for telling me! I am from the United States and I am new to the D.R.) Maria: Que chido! Yo fui a Estados Unidos cuando yo tiene diecisiete y pensó es era muy interesante. (How cool! I went to the United States when I was 17 and thought it was very interesting.) Faith: No me digas! Puedes decir un poco más de la Dominica ? (No way! Can you tell me more about the D.R.?) Maria: Si! Hay muchas playas, música en vivo y baile, tirolinas, y cataratas. Los personas son muy simpáticas. (Yes! There are beaches, live music and dancing, ziplines, and waterfalls. The people are very nice.) Faith: Que chido! (How cool!) Maria: Si, puedes decir un poco mas de donde eres? (Yes, can you tell me more about where you’re from?) Faith: Yo soy de Durango, Colorado, y es muy bonita. Hay montañas, un río, y puedes esquiar. Es un pequeño ciudad. ( I am from Durango, Colorado and its very pretty. There are mountains, skiing, and a river. It is a small city.) Maria: Donde trabajas? (Where do you work?) Faith: Yo no tengo trabajo, yo busco a trabajo. Dónde está su trabajo? (I don’t have a job, I am searching for a job. Where do you work?) Maria: Yo trabajo en un café por mi apartamento. Su debes entra a café y tal vez su podía trabajo a el café. (I work at a cafe by my apartament. You could come to the cafe and maybe you could work at the cafe.)
